For our ever-popular crime evening, we're bringing four of today's best crime writers to Shipston. From a body on the 09:26 to Paddington to a corpse in a Jacobean priory, this panel proves murder never goes out of style.

Tim Sullivan brings his bestselling DS George Cross back for The Tailor, the seventh instalment in his acclaimed contemporary procedural series. Guy Jenkin — the multi-BAFTA and Emmy-winning writer behind Drop the Dead Donkey and Outnumbered — returns with The Fatal Bellman, a riotous and bloody sequel that casts Will Shakespeare as a reluctant sleuth in Jacobean London. And M.R.G. Davies brings a gentler touch with his cosy crime series, following four book club members as they put their favourite fictional detectives' methods to the test.

Chairing is GJ Williams, herself a historical crime novelist whose Tudor Rose and new Gawain series weave real history with unquiet ghosts.
