Literary Lunch with James Macdonald Lockhart 

Over a delicious lunch at Shipston's beloved Bower House restaurant, James will talk about the making of his book, Wild Air: In Search of Birdsong.

In Wild Air: In Search of Birdsong, award-winning author James Macdonald Lockhart sets out across Britain in pursuit of eight birds — nightjar, dipper, skylark, raven, shearwater, diver, lapwing and nightingale. Each bird represents a different habitat, each with a song unlike any other. Drawing on a deeply personal family story involving his grandmother and the legendary naturalist Seton Gordon, James writes about birdsong with a quality The Sunday Times called “joyful and mindful”.
