2026 festival announced!

Save the dates - Bookfest returns 18–27 September 2026

Following two successful years, we're proud to be bringing the festival back for 2026. This year's festival is from 18–27 September 2026.

Bookended by two weekends of events, our programme will feature events for children, teenagers, and adults held in variety of venues around the town, including a schools-specific programme. Sign up to our mailing list or follow us on Instagram or Facebook for updates and sneak previews.

The full programme will be announced in summer 2026, with tickets going on sale at the same time.
