Join the committee

Shipston Bookfest was started by a small group of local people who wanted to bring a book festival to their town, and that community spirit remains at the heart of everything we do. Our volunteer committee plans and runs the festival each year, and we're always glad to welcome new members with fresh ideas and energy. 

Joining the committee means getting stuck into the real work of the festival: programming, liaising with authors and venues, marketing, finance, and more. It's a genuine commitment, but it's also hugely rewarding. Whether you have experience in events, marketing, finance, education, or the book trade, or you’re simply an enthusiastic reader who wants to help, we’d love for you to join us.
